I wanted to read another book by Hajime Matsubara, so I borrowed it from the library. I work in publishing, so I try to buy books at bookstores as much as possible, but when I'm at my mother's house in Osaka, it's difficult to go to a bookstore. There are no bookstores in the neighborhood. Well, there is one, but it's in a corner of a home center 20 minutes away on foot, and it's a typical country bookstore that only carries manga, textbooks, magazines, and popular books. The bookstore at the next station is similar. ... I was grumbling, when I found out that there is a ward library 5 minutes away on foot. What's more, I was impressed by how generous Osaka City is, even though I'm a Tokyo resident, and I wrote about it the other day. And yet they're trying to build a casino! If they have that kind of money, they should use it for public facilities and medical facilities! It's already a place with a low level of civility, so it's obvious that building a gambling hall would be a disaster, and they're going out of their way to destroy the environment to build one. The political party called Osaka Restoration Association is really not good. Even though it was rejected in a referendum, they are still scheming behind the scenes to make Osaka a "metropolis". How disgusting. I want people all over the country to know that there are a lot of Osaka residents who really hate the Osaka Restoration Party and Hashimoto.

At this point, the Osaka Restoration Party and Hashimoto are irrelevant. I borrowed "Traveling Crow Shop." This is newer than "Can You Keep a Crow?", the first edition of 2021. I'm sure Matsubara's writing has improved even more.

Anyway, let's start reading.
